No More ImageReady in CS3? - Not a Problem!

OK, accept the sad news - ImageReady was discontinued.

Hopefully most of its capabilities were incorporated in Photoshop CS3. Of course it is not as easy as ahead of, but I currently know guys who are delighted with alterations.

So, we have lost (it is in Adobe Fireworks CS3 now):

- Export to Macromedia Flash SWF

- Image Map tool

- Group Slices Into Table (on the other hand, you can export subgroup of slices as a table)

As you have noticed, this attributes are incredibly valuable for these who are into internet style.
If you hope that new and enhanced Fireworks-two-Photoshop integration will produce you pleased, you are incorrect. It sucks truly. Fireworks merely does not realize designs and clipping layers. Hope Adobe will repair that someday.

Now I must say that every little thing is not so negative and we are not doomed nonetheless...
So right here are capabilities which had been integrated:

- Slice tool/Slice Choose tool -

Those tools are obtainable on the Toolbar.

- Tab Rectangle tool/Pill Rectangle tool -

This is offered via the Rounded Rectangle Shape tool.

- Slice palette -

In the Slice Characteristics dialog box.

- Animation palette (really like this one) -

Window > Animation. It has 2 modes: Frames and Timeline. Frames mode corresponds to the Animation palette in ImageReady.

Timeline provides you a simplified version of timeline in Adobe Right after Effects, which is incredibly cool.

- Edit Animated GIF files -

Photoshop CS3 can develop animated GIF files.

File > Save For Internet & Devices. Sadly you can't simply open an current animated GIF file as prior to.

BUT! you can do it if to use Import function.

File > Import > Video Frames to Layers... you will not locate GIF in the list of obtainable formats. It does not matter, in the File Name: sort GIF file name with extension.

For instance: animation.gif and press Load button.

That is it, now you have your GIF animation and can edit it the way you got employed to in ImageReady.

Import > Folder as Frames - do the subsequent:

File > Scripts > Load files into Stack.

In the Load Layers dialog box, Choose Folder from the Use menu. Browse to the folder that consists of the pictures you want to contain and click OK.

Choose Develop Frames from Layers in the Animation palette menu.

Export > Layers as Files -

File > Scripts > Export Layers to Files.

Variables -

Image > Variables.

Choose File > Save For Internet & Devices -

This is extremely crucial menu. Right here you can save your file as GIF animation.

Merely Choose preferred GIF preset and if delighted, you are completed. If not, there are a lot of settings to play with. Below colour table you can Select loop features.

That is it, hope Soon after this write-up you will not blame Adobe for what they have completed :)

You superior not to know what Autodesk have carried out to Maya. Guess it is a good subject for the subsequent write-up eight)

See you subsequent time.
Nice luck and have fun!
